Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve , Chandrapur District, Maharashtra

The reserve was established in the year 1995 and is spread across 1750 sq km of thick forest. It has one of the highest Tiger Sighting Index amongst all National Parks in India, driven by a growing Tiger population. The reserve also houses Indian leopards, Gaur, Nilgai, Sloth bears, Striped Hyena, Sambar, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Indian Python and the Indian Cobra and unique bird species like the Short Toed Snake Eagle, Crested Serpent Eagle, Oriental Honey Buzzard, Grey Headed Fish Eagle, Brown Fish Owl, Spot Bill Duck, Rudy Cell Duck, Pin Tail, and many others

The reserve is reachable by Flight/ Train via Nagpur and drive.

Bandhavgarh National Park, Umaria District, Madhya Pradesh

This Park is spread across the Vindhya hills and consists of a core area of 105 sq km and a buffer area of approximately 400 sq km. It has a undulating landscape with thick forest and open meadows, a few scattered grassy swamps and forested valleys.

This is the former hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Rewa and was one of the few parks with White Tigers, which haven’t been sighted in a long time.

There are more than 22 species of mammals and 250 species of birds. Common Langurs and Rhesus Macaque represent the primate group. Carnivores include the Asiatic Jackal, Bengal Fox, Sloth Bear, Ratel, Gray Mongoose, Striped Hyena, Jungle Cat, Leopard and Tiger. Mammals such as Dhole, the small Indian Civet, Palm Squirrel and Lesser Bandicoot Rat are seen occasionally.
